# Search profiles & proposals: the next matching object finds its buyer

**The problem this solves:** A buyer who did not get this object is forgotten, although the next matching one is already in the stock.

**In short:** A buyer who did not get this object is not lost: their search profile stays on
the contact, every new listing shows which profiles it fits, and one click sends the exposé
to all who opted in. When nothing published fits, the match names the drafts that would.

## What you can do

- **Keep what a buyer is looking for** on their contact — edits save as you go.
- **See the fit from both sides.** A listing shows which buyers' search profiles it fits; a
  contact shows the listings that fit, kept current as colleagues change either.
- **Send the exposé to everyone who opted in** with one click.
- **Know when a draft would fit.** „No published listing fits yet — 1 draft would“, with a
  link, instead of „nothing fits“.

## How it works

A match is made on the facts both records carry — kind of object, area, price, rooms — and
always shows its reason. Proposals to relist a quiet object and the market view are planned for the pet
[Luma](https://docs.capitality.io/pets/) and marked as such.

## Limits and notes

- Sending the exposé respects each person's consent; nobody without an opt-in gets mail.

## New in this feature

- App 0.40.0: A contact's matches now say when a draft would fit — "No published listing fits yet — 1 draft would" with a link — instead of "nothing fits".
- Platform 0.25.1: When no published listing fits a contact's search, the match now names the drafts that would.
- App 0.27.0: Listings show which buyers' search profiles they fit, and one click sends the exposé to every buyer who opted in.
- App 0.25.0: Edits to a contact's search profile save as you go, so closing it never throws work away.
- App 0.25.0: Search profiles and their matching listings update on an open contact as colleagues change them.
- Platform 0.15.0: A contact's search profile and its matches stay current on every open screen as colleagues change them.
