# Signatures: agreements confirmed online, with proof and reminders

> Send a brokerage or commission agreement for online confirmation, let the app remind the signer, and keep proof of what was confirmed, withdrawal included.

**Status:** Alpha — Built on request. The app says so where you use it and asks what is missing.
**On the broker’s path:** Closing & handover
**Pets that work here:** Doks

**The problem this solves:** A brokerage agreement goes out as a PDF, comes back scanned a week later, and nobody knows whether the reminder went.

**In short:** A buyer's or owner's agreement goes out as a link, is confirmed online with a
copy for both sides, and comes back with proof of exactly what was signed. A signer who has
not confirmed gets a friendly reminder by mail, and the request shows when they were
reminded. Consumers can withdraw online as the law requires.

## What you can do

- **Send from where you are.** The buyer's commission agreement from the property, a deal or
a contact — even before there is a property; the brokerage agreement for the owner by link.
- **Mark private signers.** Whether the signer is a private person decides the withdrawal
  notice they get.
- **Let the app follow up.** A signer who has not confirmed is reminded by mail; the request
  says when.
- **Keep the proof.** Each confirmed agreement comes with the audit trail of what was signed,
  by whom, when.
- **See every request** across the workspace, send one again with a fresh link, and tell us
  what is missing.

## How it works

The signer confirms on their own page; the signed document and its audit trail are kept
with the record they belong to. The pet [Doks](https://docs.capitality.io/pets/doks/) can ask for a signature on your
behalf under your approval.

## Limits and notes

- Alpha: built on request. Simple electronic confirmation; a qualified electronic
signature (QES), templates, in-person signing and seals are topics brokers can ask for from
  the feedback button.
- Not legal advice: whether a text-form confirmation suffices is a question for your
  agreement and your lawyer.

## New in this feature

- App 0.42.0: A signature request now shows when the signer was reminded, so you see at a glance that the app already followed up.
- Platform 0.27.0: A signer who has not confirmed now gets a friendly reminder by mail, so you no longer chase open agreements by phone.
- App 0.38.0: Send the buyer's commission agreement for confirmation from the property, mark whether the signer is a private person, and open the audit trail of every confirmation.
- Platform 0.23.0: Agreements confirmed online now come with proof of exactly what was signed, and consumers can withdraw from them online as the law requires.
- Platform 0.23.0: Signature requests can be listed across the workspace, sent again with a fresh link, and brokers of an alpha feature can tell us what is missing.
- Platform 0.17.0: Owners can confirm the brokerage agreement by link, with a copy for both sides and no printing or scanning.
