Cancellation and refunds

Capitality has no minimum term. You cancel any time, without notice, effective at the end of the current billing month. If you paid a year in advance, the months not yet started come back to you. This page shows how that works and what happens to your data afterwards. The terms of service are binding.

  • No minimum term: your plan ends with the current billing month.
  • Yearly payment: every full month not yet started comes back — the yearly price you paid divided by twelve, per month.
  • Refund: within 14 days, the way you paid.
  • Your data stays: the workspace moves to rest mode; you can view, edit and export everything.
  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Click Cancel at period end, then Confirm cancellation.

The page then shows the day your plan ends. You can also cancel in text form — an email is enough; the address is in the imprint. Owners and administrators of the workspace can cancel.

Your plan runs until the end of the month you have already paid for, and ends then. Until then you use everything as usual; nothing is charged afterwards.

Yearly payment: refund of months not started

Section titled “Yearly payment: refund of months not started”

A year paid in advance also ends with the current billing month; months count from the day of your payment. For every full month not yet started we refund one twelfth of the yearly price you paid. The current month is not refunded — you are still using it.

The refund arrives within 14 days, the way you originally paid. Right after you cancel, owners and administrators get a confirmation email with the end date and the refund amount.

A brokerage books Pro for two users on 9 October and pays yearly: 2 × €79 × 12 = €1,896 (net). On 20 November it cancels.

Current billing month 9 November to 9 December
Plan ends 9 December
Full months not started 10
Refund 10 × €1,896 ÷ 12 = €1,580

What comes back is the share of what you actually paid — including the VAT on it.

The connection ends together with your plan. To end it on its own, set the number of accounts to 0 under Settings → Billing; it then runs to the end of its paid month.

Design partners also cancel any time, effective at the end of the current billing month. If you do not cancel, we move you to Basic after your first year, at its price then; we remind you by email a month and a week before.

When your plan or trial ends without a new booking, the workspace moves to rest mode free of charge:

  • Your data is kept; you can view and edit it and export it under Settings → Data export.
  • The basics stay usable for one person. More users, further features and a larger AI allowance come back with a booked plan.
  • If a workspace in rest mode is not used for twelve months, we announce its closure 30 days in advance. If nobody signs in and no plan is booked by then, we close it; its data then remains readable and exportable for another 30 days and is deleted afterwards.

We cancel with three months’ notice to the end of a month. Both sides keep the right to terminate for cause — for us in particular when payment is more than 30 days overdue despite a reminder.
