Roles & permissions: who sees and does what, decided once

AvailableIn every workspace, documented here, with its changes listed on its page.
On the broker’s path
The firm

The problem this solves: A new colleague sees every deal of the firm on day one, or sees nothing and asks; who may delete what is a matter of trust.

In short: Access is one page: people, groups and roles as tabs with one search. A colleague gets a ready-made limit in one click — a broker sees only their own contacts and objects, an assistant sees no commission and deletes nothing, a trainee reads — and the effect shows at once. When someone leaves, their contacts, objects, enquiries and deals go to a colleague first.

  • Give limits that hold. Presets for broker, assistant and trainee; „own records only“ applies to lists, dashboards, notifications and live updates alike.
  • Keep money to the owner. „Commissions for the owner only“ with one switch; what the workspace pays is for admins and the owner.
  • Invite and remove cleanly. Invitations by link or QR code, valid seven days; removing a member shows what they are responsible for and hands it over, portal connections included.
  • Know who did what. The history names a former member as „Former member“ and automatic steps as „System“.

Rights are rules on records, checked on every read and write, in the app and on the server. A member reads their own rights; only admins and the owner read another member’s.

  • Pets are members too: a pet works under the permissions of its role, never beyond them.

New in this feature

The changes of this feature, newest first — one line per change, with the version it shipped in.

  • App 0.41.0Removing a team member now shows what they are responsible for and hands it to a colleague, or back to the team, before they go.
  • App 0.41.0Removing a member now also takes their own portal connections with them, and says first which ones and what becomes of their live listings.
  • App 0.41.0A deal's history names someone who has left the team as "Former member" and automatic steps as "System", instead of showing a code.
  • App 0.41.0A broker limited to their own records now sees only their objects in „Objekte“, and the lists say so instead of looking empty.
  • Platform 0.26.0A broker limited to their own records now sees only the enquiries assigned to them.
  • Platform 0.26.0A broker limited to their own records no longer receives colleagues' contacts and properties as live updates.
  • App 0.40.3Access is one page: people, groups and roles as tabs with one search, and a member sees only their own rights.
  • Platform 0.25.4Only a workspace's admins and owner can read another member's rights; a member reads their own.
  • App 0.37.6When a workspace has no groups yet, the groups page now says where to create one.
  • App 0.37.3Turning "Commissions for the owner only" on or off now shows its effect on everyone's access at once, and Refresh shows the current access.
  • App 0.37.3The members page no longer claims for a moment that the workspace has no members while it loads.
  • Platform 0.20.4Access settings now offer only limits that hold, and flag any older rule that should be removed.
  • App 0.33.16Settings are tidier: each question about access and roles now has one clear place to answer it.
  • App 0.25.0Contacts can be grouped by city or advertising consent, so you see at a glance who may receive your newsletter.
  • App 0.25.0On a phone, a colleague's access panel now has one clear close button, and each button says what it does.
  • App 0.25.0Group changes in access settings either take effect or say plainly that they did not go through.
  • App 0.25.0Listings of units in the same building are easy to tell apart, and the list remembers how many rows you like.
  • App 0.25.0A team member's page opens cleanly the first time, even from a link or a bookmark.
  • App 0.25.0Permission changes are previewed in the same plain words as the permission table, so you see exactly what you grant.
  • App 0.25.0The explanation of team roles opens with a tap, so phone and tablet users can read it too.
  • App 0.25.0Role changes reach the access pages as they happen, and your rights update the moment an admin changes your role.
  • App 0.25.0Teams can be renamed or retired right where you manage their permissions, after a clear check of who is affected.
  • App 0.25.0New personal permissions take effect the moment an admin changes them, and the app tells you, no reload needed.
  • App 0.24.4Access levels hold tighter: "Lesen" and "Schreiben" mean exactly what they say, and taking away a role or team asks first.
  • App 0.24.4Roles can be changed from a phone too, including making a colleague admin or handing the workspace to a new owner.
  • App 0.24.4A colleague's page in team settings now speaks about that person and leads straight to their access.
  • App 0.24.4Creating a person asks for role and department once a company is chosen, so everything you enter is kept.
  • App 0.24.4Changes to boards, workspaces and members tell you when they did not go through, and a removed member leaves every open list.
  • Platform 0.15.0Groups and their permissions always show what is really saved, even when a change does not go through.
  • Platform 0.15.0A member's open app picks up changed permissions at once, so the right buttons appear without reloading.
  • Platform 0.15.0Role and rights changes take effect at once in every open app, with no reload needed.
  • Platform 0.14.2Everyone with access to your workspace shows by name and e-mail, so you can see who still belongs.
  • Platform 0.14.2When an admin changes your role, your new rights show up in your open app at once.
